>>> GIN PALACE "KICKING ON" DEBUT LP ARTROCKER RRR33024

Gin Palace are an electrifying three-piece from London, who strip it down to the rock essentials; one monster guitar, savage primal drums, and the volcanic vocals of Meaghan Wilkie. With only an ep and killer single released they have played both CMJ and SXSW in USA and cool dates in the UK with the likes of Black Keys, The Gossip, Bob Log III, Modey Lemon, and most recently at 'The Vortex of Now' shows with Kaito. Now Gin Palace are very proud indeed to present their debut album - 'Kicking On'.

This is a monstrous record, make no mistake about it. The righteous fury, the bitter spite, the fighting drunk staggering to the bar and then 'Kicking On' to the next. It'll give you a two bottle gin-high and, like all good blues, it'll take you down to hell - "Where are my shoes?"

This is not something to play in front of the kids. It doesn't contain profanity or songs about killing cops, but it does speak of the brutality of adult relationships, the sadness and anger that builds to the point where steam must be released before something very bad happens!

"THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL AT IT'S MOST THRILLING AND ELEMENTAL - THE PUREST SPIRIT OF ADRENALISED FURY" KERRANG!

Meaghan is a furious, elegant Deitrich - a panther in a cocktail dress to Karen O's snake in a space suit. Simultaneously alluring and intimidating, she spits out 'come-ons' and 'come-on-thens', savage and sin-sodden, and as willing to slip a switchblade 'tween your ribs as to take you dancing.

The Gin Palace are the most fearsome and exciting bastardisation of what crawled from the blues swamp that the UK has ever produced and "Kicking On" is the best rock'n'roll album this year.

"THEY STOMP THE MIRROR-WATCHING KILLS INTO THE GROUND, GRUBBIER , LESS TUTORED, AND MORE UNHINGED" - CARELESS TALK COSTS LIVES

"FEARSOME, DEMENTED ART-SCHOOL BLUES - THRILLING, COMPELLING, AND UTTERLY UNMISSABLE" - NME

"RAW AND BLUESY, BUT WITH PANACHE AND VOLUME THERE'S A PRIMAL URGENCY, A MOMENTUM OF DIRT, WILDNESS, AND A THRILLINGLY SORDID GLAMOUR" - KERRANG

The Band:

Jon Free ex-Penthouse guitarist
Meaghan Wilkie - punk lady vocalist
Stuart Bell - minimal drum kit
